Serve this yummy masala tea to your Eid guests, with some cookies or cakes!
This recipe for 2 people, and you can double it if you need to.
You Will Need:
2 cups of water
4 black tea teabags
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
½ teaspoon cardamom powder
½ teaspoon ground cloves
2 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated
3 cups whole milk
8 teaspoons sugar
how to make masala tea
Put the water, teabags and spices into a large saucepan, and cook on a high heat until it starts to boil.
Leave to boil for 3 minutes, then add the milk.
Once it starts boiling again, turn it down to a low heat for 3 minutes.
Put the heat back up until it starts to boil again, and then turn it down to a low heat and leave for 3 minutes.
Add the sugar and give it a good stir and then put the heat back up until it starts to boil again, then turn off the cooker.
Ask your adult helper to carefully empty the tea into a teapot and then pour into cups.
